Chairman of Board of Management
The
Croatian chemical giant Jugovinil was founded in 1947, and in 1991 its name,
as the circumstances required, was changed to Adriachem.
In the same year, the Croatian Oil Company, took over polyvinyl chloride
production plants, while plastics processing plants remained within Adriachem.
The new name did not change the old production and business relationships.
It was absolutely necessary to make a radical reorganization of the company,
and to fight for as favourable starting point as possible in the forthcoming
race for a success. The production programmes were reviewed and profitable
ones selected, a consistent process running established, raw materials and
finished products quality control tightened up, and labour organization
rationalized. Special attention was, of course, paid to the market itself
as it is the place that actually evaluates our efforts to succeed. And indeed
we were successful as even under the circumstances prevailing in theCroatian
economy nowdays, we are in position to realize an average profit to the
satisfaction of the Adriachem shareholders. It should be mentioned that
simultaneously with all the changes in the company’s production activities
and relationships, the actions on the ownership transformation were taken,
and now Adriachem is a joint stock company expecting from the new owners
such actions which will even contribute to the improval of the ownership
structure. The market recognizable product ranges and exceptionally favorable
infrastructure (good road, railway, sea transportation, nearby airport,
etc.) are true and rich Adriachem resources which guarantee a profit to
sny shareholder.
